Access Introduction (2 days)

Our Introduction to Microsoft Access will give an introduction to key database design concepts. This course offers a grounding in creating the core objects of a database and covers data manipulation and data extraction at an introductory/intermediate level. It focuses on the creation of tables, queries, forms and reports.
The course is suitable for people who intend to design databases from scratch or improve existing Access databases. Also conversion of databases made in other applications and spreadsheet (flat file) databases.
This course assumes no previous experience of database design. However, delegates with some experience in database design will find this course beneficial if they do not know Access.
Access Advanced (1 day)
£590, plus VAT, for up to 10 delegates
Advanced Microsoft Access training course aims to build on a reasonable level of database design experience that may have been gained from the Introduction and/or Intermediate course. It covers database management techniques, advanced customisation of forms, optimisation and administration of Access databases and database sharing and security issues.
The course is suitable for those who intend to design databases at an advanced level or improve existing Access databases. It also offers guidance on advanced conversion of databases made in other applications and spreadsheet (flat file) databases.
This course assumes a reasonable level of database design principles and familiarity with all key aspects of working with Access databases.
Access VBA Programming (2 days)
£1,180, plus VAT, for up to 10 delegates
This two day course shows students how to add Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) to create basic Access database applications which are streamlined and easy to use. It familiarises delegates with the VBA Editor, the use of variables, the creation of procedures and functions and the key elements of programming in VBA such as accessing the methods and properties of objects, handling different data types and programming constructs such as control and loop statements.
This course is suitable for experienced Access users who have built databases and know the program well. However it assumes no previous knowledge of VBA or of programming.
