Delegates on our Introduction to Microsoft Excel will learn the basics of a spreadsheet application and will be able to create and modify spreadsheets containing data and formulas. The course covers the creation of simple worksheets and charts, entering, manipulating and formatting data and creating formulas.

The course is suitable for people who need to know how to create spreadsheets or work on existing Excel spreadsheets, using formatting and calculation tools.

No prior experience of Excel is expected. Although delegates with limited experience on other spreadsheet applications will have a slight advantage. A working knowledge of the Windows operating system and use of the mouse and keyboard is essential.

Delegates on this course will learn advanced Excel features allowing them to use look-up tables, pivot tables, data analysis tools such as Goal Seek, Scenarios and Solver as well as importing and linking to external data.

The course is suitable for competent Excel users who may be experiencing difficulties in realising some of their spreadsheet aspirations and therefore need to learn advanced tools and techniques.

Delegates should have attended the Intermediate course or be competent Excel users regularly using complex functions and formulas.

Our Excel VBA level 1 course shows delegates how to create and customise macros and gives them a basic familiarity with the Visual Basic for Applications environment.

The course is suitable for experienced Excel users who wish to extend their skills to include Excel VBA automation.
