CSS (cascading style sheets) are used to control the style and appearance of web pages without compromising their structure. A single CSS file can control the appearance of an entire web site. Simply amending one property of one of the elements defined in the linked style sheet will immediately change the appearance of that element wherever it occurs in the web site.
Our Introduction to CSS provides a detailed explanation of the syntax and mechanics of using CSS style sheets for both formatting and page layout.
This course is suitable for web site developers with a good basic knowledge of HTML.
